The Grammy Award-winning singer Tanvi Shah wins the First Ladies Award.

India has a lineage of self-made and successful women to be proud of and we have one such alpha woman, Tanvi Shah. "Fanaa" was her first Bollywood song, which she sang for Mani Ratnam's movie "Yuva". A self-made star who has been a token of pride for India since 2010, shot to roaring fame when she became India's first and only woman to have won the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Motion Picture or Other Visual Media for her Spanish lyrics for the song “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire.

Tanvi once again makes glorious strides in her career by being among the 110 remarkable women chosen from across the country for being outstanding pioneers in their respective fields at the 'First Ladies' Award an event spearheaded by the dynamic and inspirational, Mrs Maneka Gandhi. The event was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, where she was felicitated by the President of India for being the first Indian lady to win a Grammy Award. Yet another feather in her cap, way to go!
