Rakesh Roshan is the most large hearted and kind producer- Sanjay Gupta

Sanjay Gupta is known for his dark gritty movies that showcase the worst of Mumbai in the best of ways. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that he chose real locations to shoot his upcoming movie Kaabil with Hrithik Roshan. Producer Rakesh Roshan who is known for his lavish sets and large hearted nature played the main role in ensuring that the shooting went on smoothly.
From shooting in the lobby of Masina Hospital in Byculla East to the Khoja Bunglow in Yari Road, Train stations across Mumbai and even where no movie has been shot till now, Adlabs Imagica, everything about Kaabil is authentic and true to its nature.
The honesty in the film making reflects from the locations and this is what passes on to the actors while performing as well. Speaking on this, Sanjay Gupta said that “Apart from securing the locations, Rakesh ji also put up the entire cast and crew in a popular south Mumbai Hotel as most of the locations were across South Mumbai. This is in spite of the fact that all the crew members lived in the same city, he did this so that they would not have to tire themselves in the travel and would be well rested.

In all my years in the industry, I have never come across a producer who bears so many costs because he is constantly concerned about the people who are working on his movie. He installed AC Units in the outdoor shoot locations in Andheri and Byculla as we were shooting in the scorching summer months and he looked into all possible details to make life easier. He rarely visited the sets even though he is an amazing director himself and gave me a free hand in my vision at all times. Rakeshji truly has a heart of gold.”

Produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil stars Hrithik Roshan & Yami Gautam and will release on 25th January 2017
